The much-loved dating coach was known for her invaluable work on both the Australian and UK versions of Married At First Sight.
After she passed, her husband Gareth Brisbane announced the heartbreaking news in an emotional Instagram post.
But now, on what would’ve been their eighth wedding anniversary, Gareth has paid another sweet tribute.
The dad-of-one shared a loved-up snap from their wedding day.
In the picture, Mel and Gareth could be seen locking lips as he held their daughter Maddie in his arms.
The guests behind them grinned ear-to-ear as they threw confetti over the newlyweds.
He captioned the post: “Ah my one. Hard to reconcile that the anniversary of the happiest day of my life could become one of the saddest.
“We didn’t quite make 8 years married or 15 years together but what a love and what a life we had!”
“By the end of our first date I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you and my love for you burned ever brighter, even as your own light faded,” continued Gareth.
“Sleep easy my girl, I hope you know that Maddie and I are in the best possible place to continue healing. She is every inch your daughter and you would be so proud of the remarkable young woman she is becoming.
“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.”
One fan penned in the comments: “I can only imagine the heaviness of the lead up to today. Bittersweet. I hope you’re doing something lovely to celebrate your love and I hope you and Maddie feel her around you.”
“Sending loads of love to you and Maddie,” wrote another fan.
A third person said: “Thinking of both you and Maddie. She is missed by the world.”
Mel was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2023 and, at the time, told how she faced a “tough road ahead”.
She later announced she was in remission as the telly favourite flagged key signs to look out for.
In February 2024, during a routine scan, small nodules were discovered in her lungs.
Despite undergoing treatment, Mel’s cancer spread to the left side of her brain.
She sadly left behind her loving husband Gareth and her daughter Maddie, 10.
