Meghan Markle could join Prince Harry for a visit to the UK in the summer.

Meghan Markle threatens to humiliate Prince Harry if the couple visit the UK later this year, an outspoken TV presenter has claimed. TalkTV’s Mark Dolan kicked off a new week of news and political analysis alongside Daily Expresso podcast host JJ Anisiobi by taking aim at Meghan on Monday.

He accused Meghan of garnering her reputation as “the Duchess of Double Standards”, claiming a potential visit to the UK by Meghan for the Invictus Games “one year to go” event would steal the limelight from Harry and the games. He claimed: “I think she’s going to humiliate Harry when she comes because it’s going to be the Meghan show.”

Dolan claimed Harry had looked happy for the first time in years when he met the King at Clarence House last year, adding that Harry loves the UK and his heart is in the country. But he claimed this time around he will be “Meghan Markle’s bag carrier”.

The presenter described Meghan as very driven and competitive, but he claimed Harry had been relegated to a “spare in his own marriage”.

He told the Daily Expresso: “This is a woman who claims to have hated her time as a frontline serving royal… And yet, she’s coming back for more… She wants to come back to a country that was so cruel to her and has a press that was so prejudicial and nasty and cruel.”

Dolan claimed the reason she would want to visit the UK is because her “stock value” is very low. He said: “In the United States they don’t like her. She’s one of the least popular American celebrities. All of the big stars and the Hollywood luminaries have turned their backs on the Sussexes.”

He pointed to stars including Oprah Winfrey, Gwyneth Paltrow and Serena Williams not appearing on her TV show, With Love, Meghan, as proof of his claim.

Dolan added: “Things are not going swimmingly in America. I think she’s coming to the UK to recalibrate her brand and to once again tap into the royal connections.

“She wants to really flex that royal muscle… She wants to remind everyone she is married to the son of the King of the United Kingdom.”

He explained this was his reason for dubbing Meghan the “Duchess of Double Standards” after her having walked away from the royals and now appears to be “walking straight back in.”

Challenged on this being about Meghan just wanting to support her husband as a “devoted wife”, Dolan accused podcast host JJ of losing his marbles.

Voicing his opinion, he claimed: “Meghan Markle has been a disaster for Prince Harry… I think [marrying Harry] was a career move. I don’t think she’s got his best interests at heart [and] my proof of that is based on her actions.”

He accused Meghan of turning Harry against the country of his birth, his family and the monarchy of which Dolan said the prince had once been very proud.

Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior royals in January 2020 amid anger over media intrusion and frustration at the Palace.

Since leaving the UK, Harry has visited his country of birth a few times, most recently in September 2025 when he spent about 50 minutes with the King.

Harry and Meghan were last together in the UK in September 2022 for the late Queen’s State Funeral.

The Duke of Sussex has said previously that it isn’t safe to bring his family to the UK, with a legal dispute over security being described by Harry as a “sticking point” in his progress towards reconciling with the Windsors.

A decision not to use taxpayers’ money to fund Harry’s police protection during visits to Britain is reportedly being reviewed by the Home Office.
