Meghan Markle has been warned that As Ever business moves could jeopardise Prince Harry’s hopes of ending the Royal Family feud during potential reunions this year. Reports emerged that the younger brother hoped for an invite to Sandringham this summer, sparking speculation that the long-running feud may be coming to an end

The invite would coincide with the Duke’s expected return to Britain to celebrate the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham, which honours wounded service members and veterans through sport. Royal writer Richard Palmer stressed that events need to be approached carefully, to ensure it does not feel like a PR trip for Meghan’s business, As Ever.

“I can see one potential problem there, which is if Meghan is launching As Ever in the UK during a visit here,” he told the Mirror.

“The King won’t want to be the backdrop or to be seen to be endorsing a commercial launch like that, so it will be important to consider the timing.”

King Charles III and Queen Camilla are expected to spend at least a week at their Sandringham royal residence in July, and Palmer believes the King may also be keen for a reunion.

“But when they came over for Trooping the Colour during the Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, a senior source close to Charles stressed how wonderful it had been for him to see his grandchildren. I think he’s genuinely missing out there and regretting missing out.”

If the Duchess accompanies Harry to the UK, it will be her first visit since 2022, when the couple attended the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

Rumours of a fatherly reunion have been rumbling for some time, with reports suggesting Prince Harry may invite King Charles to speak at the Invictus Games next year, an event which is one of his proudest achievements.
If it were to happen, it would mark their first united public appearance in years. The last major event attended by both Prince Harry and King Charles was his father’s coronation, but the Duke was noticeably absent among family members who waved to crowds from the Buckingham Palace balcony.

The very public family feud has been playing out for years and reached a tipping point in 2020, when Harry sensationally left the UK with his wife, Meghan Markle.

It was further ignited by the release of his memoir Spare in 2023, which detailed bitter rows in the family. His explosive interview with the BBC last year added fuel to the fire, after he said his father “won’t speak to me” because of his legal case over security protection in the UK.
