Netflix staff are helping themselves to Meghan Markle’s overflowing stock at the headquarters in Hollywood, reports claim. Employees of the streaming giant are getting their hands on Meghan’s As Ever products for free, including jams, wine, and flower sprinkles, as insiders claim the items are selling too slowly.
A source told Page Six: “Apparently, there are two storage rooms packed with As ever product. They’re literally just giving it away to employees — one (staffer) walked out with 10 products for free.” A second source stated: “There’s so much overstock.”
The outlet also states As Ever inventory was “long ago” moved to another warehouse and is not stored at Netflix HQ, but what remains at the office is for gifting and sampling, with staff allowed to take home “freebies”.
However, a source aware of the situation suggested that the stock housed at Netflix is not those sold to consumers. They added that the stock is limited to gifting, sampling or promotional items as the sales inventory was moved to another warehouse. Therefore they said it wasn’t a surprise that employees were allowed to take the sampling in order to clear spare or stock close to expiration.
In January, a website glitch on the As Ever page faced an unexpected reveal and some surprising information to the public. It revealed unsold inventory of roughly 650,000 items.
Although it has now resolved, the website displayed inventory that included approximately 220,000 jars of jam; 30,000 jars of honey; 90,000 candles; 80,000 tins of flower sprinkles and roughly 70,000 bottles of wine.
According to posts shared on Reddit, users alleged they could uncover total stock counts by adding large quantities of individual items to their shopping carts, with the As Ever website then displaying the maximum available number.

Meghan Markle’s As Ever business was supposed to tie in with her Netflix show, ‘With Love, Meghan’, and it has recently been reported the show had dismal ratings. It has not been reported that the show will return for a third season.
The series, which launched its second season last August, was viewed only two million times in the last four months of the year. It was the 1,217th most-watched title on Netflix over the second half of the year, per Netflix’s engagement report.
Despite this, Markle declined to share sales figures while talking on the Bloomberg podcast, ‘The Circuit with Emily Chang’, last August, but she said much of the brand’s inventory had sold out, and she appeared pleased with progress.
Meghan said: “When you sell out that quickly, actually, it’s a double-edged sword, because it’s an incredible thing to happen for any small business and any startup, and at the same time, you don’t get the same metrics and learnings about which products are the most coveted, because it’s all gone immediately.”
