Zara and Mike Tindall looked as loved up as ever as they attended a special beachfront horse race in Australia with Prince Harry’s best friend

Zara and Mike Tindall looked as loved-up as ever at a special event in Australia – with Prince Harry’s best pal. The couple are currently in Australia for the Magic Millions horse racing event, where Zara took part in a special beachfront horse race while a proud Mike looked on.

It saw former world champion equestrian Zara join a host of jockies, including Nacho Figueras, who is dubbed the David Beckham of polo, and his wife Delfina Blaquier, who are both close pals of Prince Harry and Meghan.

During the outing on the sand at Broadbeach on Australia’s Gold Coast, Zara was seen tenderly touching her husband’s face before the pair embraced in a huge hug as they posed for the cameras. It has become an annual tradition for Zara, a niece of King Charles, and former rugby player Mike to spend the first weeks of the New Year Down Under for the Magic Millions event.

Previously, the royal couple admitted they’ve said “numerous times if we weren’t living in England, we’d love living there” as they teased the possibility of following in the footsteps of Harry and Meghan and fleeing the country to start a new life for themselves abroad.

However, Mike conceded: “Living there isn’t realistic because it’s so far away from our families, but we do love it. We’ve got a great friendship group in Australia, and Zara has one in New Zealand as well. We just love that part of the world and love the pace of life. Australians have a great sense of humour, they like a bit of banter, they don’t mind having a go at each other, they don’t take each other too seriously… and I’m all about that.”

The couple currently live in a property on the Gatcombe Park estate, Gloucestershire, owned by Zara’s mum, Princess Anne, with their three children – Mia, Lena and Lucas.
