His family has not disclosed the circumstances surrounding his death at this time, but said it was “sudden.”
Ryan’s sister Melissa shared a heartbreaking tribute following his passing, writing: “Ryan was so damn funny and witty.
“He was fiercely loyal to those he loved. He had a huge heart, always. I can’t explain what it’s like to lose a sibling.
“Someone who’s been there from the beginning and shares the same memories.”
She concluded the heartbreaking tribute by adding: “No matter what we were going through, I loved him immensely.
“Life as I know it will never be the same.”
Ryan was just 29 when he made his reality TV debut on Married at First Sight in 2015.
The Staten Island businessman was matched at the time with Jessica Castro, a receptionist from Manhattan, and the pair met for the first time when they walked down the aisle and exchanged vows.
As part of the show’s social experiment, Ryan and Jessica agreed to legally marry despite being complete strangers.
The couple’s six-week marriage was turbulent, with the pair frequently clashing as they attempted to adjust to life together.
Despite their struggles, Ryan and Jessica ultimately decided to remain married on Decision Day.
Their relationship, however, did not last beyond the experiment.
The pair’s marriage came to an explosive end, and their split became the subject of significant attention following the show’s filming.
Jessica filed for an order of protection against Ryan in June 2015 and made allegations about threatening behavior.
However, Ryan disputed the allegations at the time.
The couple’s contentious breakup played out publicly during the show’s reunion, and they eventually divorced.
After his time on Married at First Sight, Ryan largely stepped away from the reality TV spotlight.
