The Duchess of Sussex shared an image from early in her relationship with Prince Harry on Friday
Meghan Markle will be happy to return to the UK after a glitch on the As Ever website highlighted a successful start to 2026, according to a royal commentator.
The Duchess of Sussex’s return to the UK may be on the horizon as Prince Harry awaits the conclusion of his security review.
He previously stated it was “impossible” to bring Meghan and their two children to the UK without security. And with one year to go until the Invictus Games in Birmingham, Meghan’s first visit to Britain since 2022 may be on the horizon.
Royal commentator, Shane Watson, claims the Prince and Princess of Wales will need to “brace” ahead of any return.

He said: “Of all the royals, William and Kate are the ones who will need to assume the brace position when the Sussex show rolls into town and, unfortunately for them, Meghan’s year has started with a mega boosting bang.
“Thanks to a technical glitch on the website of the duchess’s As Ever brand, shoppers were momentarily able to see how much of her product was left in stock, which then allowed some motivated sleuths to work out exactly how many boxes of her signature ‘fruit spread’ had been sold.”
According to reports, the glitch allowed fans to work out that As Ever has made £26.7million from sales of fruit spread.
Mr Watson continued: “Meghan was not coming back to the UK as the dutiful wife of the Invictus Games founder.
“She was never stepping onto the tarmac at Heathrow as the Yoko of the royal family, somewhat chastened by the cancelled Spotify deal, the reduced Netflix deal and the alleged backlash in the US where Wills and Kate’s popularity polling outstrips theirs by some considerable amount.”
“She will happily return now because it will be as one of the Californian business elite, flying the flag of mindful wealth and success — all of which is going to make it even harder than it would have for the Waleses to swallow, and even more gripping to watch for the rest of us,” he concluded in The Sunday Times.

| X / AS EVERThe news comes after it was revealed Meghan has received her lowest-ever approval rating among the British public.
YouGov’s latest Royal Family favourability tracker, released on Friday morning, showed that a mere 19 per cent of Britons now hold a positive view of the American-born royal.
Meanwhile, negative sentiment towards Meghan has climbed to 66 per cent, meaning roughly two in three people across the country view her unfavourably.
Meghan also took to social media on Friday to take part in a viral social media trend.
She shared a video of her and Prince Harry dancing as part of a throwback post filmed by their daughter, Princess Lilibet.
