Ellie has finally shared her final thoughts on her Love Island journey, days after walking out of the Villa amid a brutal quadruple dumping. Taking to Instagram on Friday (17 July), she captioned a series of photos from her journey on the ITV dating series.

“What an unforgettable experience,” Ellie penned. “I’ve been through every emotion possible, made memories that will stay with me forever, and I truly wouldn’t change a single second of it. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I’m so grateful I got to live every moment to the fullest.”

The star added that the support from Love Island fans had been “overwhelming in the best way”, as she shared her gratitude. In conclusion, she also expressed excitement for the “next chapter” of her life.

In the comments, the Scot received support from many followers – including some of her Love Island co-stars. Robyn notably gushed over Ellie’s “photo dump,” while Charleen wrote: “An angel, you should be so beyond proud.”

But one comment quickly stood out as Finley wrote his own message, which read: “All this love for an amazing person, here’s to the outside.” While the comment could indicate that the pair are back on the same wavelength, fans were quick to call him out in the comment section as they urged him to “treat Ellie better”

Ellie became a firm fan-favourite during her time in the Villa – but her search for love in Mallorca has been nothing short of complicated. Coupled up with Aidan at the start of the season, her fate was left on a knife’s edge when Yasmin snatched him from her.

Things seemed to be back on track for Ellie when Tommy joined the show as another bombshell, but the connection was also short-lived. It was following her split from Tommy, due to his flirtatious behaviour with other Islanders, that Ellie first met Finley, who had also been introduced as a bombshell.

The coupled appeared to grow stronger by the day, with many viewers rooting for them to win after Finley passed the Casa Amor test. But his head was eventually turned by bombshell Elicia, and the love triangle triggered chaos that reverberated across the Villa.

After attempting to explore his romantic potential with Elicia, Finley backtracked, but the damage was done. During the latest public vote, Finley learned that he had received the fewest public votes, and was ultimately dumped by his fellow Islanders alongside Martha. It was then that Ellie ended her journey, unable to carry on without him.

Back in the Villa, a new connection blossomed as Priya and Aidan sneaked to the Hideaway for a night. Another challenge – ‘Knowing Me, Knowing You’ – also highlighted the strongest pairings, as Islanders were asked to answer a series of questions about their connections.

Coming up, however, relationships could be put to the test again as the show has confirmed that the Islanders will be reunited with family and friends in an upcoming episode.
