Princess Beatrice’s stepson made her a card as sweet as honey for Mothering Sunday in the U.K.

Christopher “Wolfie” Woolf, the 9-year-old son of Beatrice’s husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, was photographed by his mother, Dara Huang, on Sunday, March 15, doodling with colored pencils. “Making his stepmom a card 💕,” Dara captioned the photo in a since-expired Instagram Stories post, according to Hello! “I taught him how to draw a  🐝,” she added in an endearing reference to Beatrice’s nickname.

Dara’s post comes after she abruptly departed the fourth season of Bravo reality series Ladies of London following its two-part premiere. Dara was caught on camera making negative comments about her friend, Myka Meier. Announcing her exit, Dara said, “I’m not made for this. This is not me.” She said in her final episode that her remarks about Myka were “deeply miscommunicated.”

Beatrice, 37, the granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip and the eldest daughter of Sarah Ferguson and the former Prince Andrew, has often shown her affection for her nickname, using bumblebees on her personal stationery and sporting a bee pin as maid of honor at her sister Princess Eugenie’s wedding in 2018.

In a 31st birthday message, Eugenie lovingly referred to her sister as “Beabea,” and official merchandise celebrating Beatrice and Edoardo’s royal wedding in 2020 featured a bee hovering above the “B” and “E” representing their names on several monogrammed items.

The princess, who is 9th in line for the throne, is the first of Queen Elizabeth’s grandchildren to become a stepmother.

Beatrice told The London Standard in 2021 that she considers it a “great honor” to be Wolfie’s stepmom. A source close to Beatrice and Edoardo, 42, told PEOPLE in 2020 that Beatrice “is a wonderful and very hands-on stepmom,” and has embraced Wolfie “as part of her life from the outset.”

The couple also shares two daughters, Sienna Elizabeth, born in September 2021, and Athena Elizabeth Rose, born in January 2025.

They maintain a healthy co-parenting relationship with Dara, who told Harper’s Bazaar U.K. in a 2024 interview that her son has “two sets of parents trying to help him on both sides.”

“I just think, ‘The more, the merrier,’” Dara added. “I feel lucky to have such positive people around him, who really embrace him — because it didn’t have to be so easy.”

“It’s all about your point of view,” she continued. “I don’t understand people who are divorced and then hold their children as collateral; that doesn’t make any sense. It’s about creating a happy home and lifestyle.”
