Peggy Rose from series 8 vaguely said: “I’m going to have an operative hysteroscopy.

“So many reasons why it could be inflamed and infected.

“I will explain later on.”

It comes two months after Peggy shared that she had suffered a devastating pregnancy loss amid her IVF journey.

The star posted a statement to Instagram at the time, explaining to her followers that she had been quiet online for a while because she needed time to “heal physically and emotionally.”

It read: “Trigger warning: pregnancy loss.

“Sorry I’ve been quiet I’ve needed time to heal physically and emotionally. Sadly our little miracle was too precious for this world.

“This isn’t the update I ever wanted to give, or ever thought I’d be giving after seeing the heartbeat 3 times from routine scans but I’m still grateful I got this far and for the hope this journey has gave me and others.

“My heart has never felt pain like this. Even writing this and speaking about it without crying shows the heartache that comes with pregnancy loss.”

Peggy went on to say: “Ignorantly, I never thought it would happen to me.

“I always had the deepest sympathy for anyone who had experienced it, but now I truly understand that pain in a way I never could before.

“I chose to share my IVF journey openly and I don’t regret it for one second. I’d do the same tomorrow.

“Not sharing before 12 weeks would have meant our little life would never had been celebrated and i would have also had to grieve alone which nobody deserves. I’m so grateful we got to celebrate the little life we had – they deserved to be seen and celebrated.

“If anything, I know our story gives hope that even one egg can create a pregnancy.

“The past 10 weeks have been the best 10 weeks of my life and I wouldn’t change a thing.”

She concluded the lengthy and emotional caption by writing: “One day soon I’ll share more details with you and hopefully news of another little miracle.”

A hysteroscopy is a gynecological procedure that involves examining a woman’s uterus to check for conditions such as abnormal bleeding, polyps and infertility.
