Homicide detectives investigating death of woman inside Banksia Grove home, man under questioning

A woman has been found dead inside a northern suburbs home, with police questioning a man known to her and investigating if she was murdered.

St John WA paramedics and WA Police rushed to a home on Mayali Bend in Banksia Grove after reports of an “unresponsive” woman about 9am Thursday.

Despite the efforts of first responders, the 42-year-old woman died at the scene. A man in his 40s is assisting police.

It is understood the man and woman were known to each other.

Homicide detectives remain at the scene on Friday.

Indi Hull — who lives on Mayali Bend — said she is devastated by the loss of such a “friendly” neighbour.

PerthNow understands a triple-0 call was made to authorities from somebody inside the home.
