Prince Harry’s allegation he was physically attacked by Prince William is “massively overblown” and a “cheap shot”, a source said. The Duke of Sussex described an attack with the Prince of Wales in a 2019 row over Meghan Markle in his book, Spare.

Author, Russell Myers, reports a royal source as saying tensions were “running very high” at the time and there were “cross words exchanged” which were “regrettable”. But the source said William is “adamant” there was no physical violence. The unnamed source dismissed Harry’s decision to reveal the row as a “cheap shot”.

Mr Myers, writing in his book, William and Catherine: The Intimate Inside Story, also quotes a source as alleging some palace staff were “deeply unhappy” on being “ground down” by the Sussexes.
