‘I worked with Meghan Markle before she met Prince Harry and she showed her true colours’

Meghan Markle was working on the hit legal drama Suits before she met Prince Harry.

What Meghan Markle is really like in real life has always been an interesting thought to fans. It’s hardly a secret that Meghan, 44, is perhaps best known for her marriage to Prince Harry and the couple’s decision to step back from their roles as senior working royals in 2020. But there was a Meghan before Prince Harry. The Duchess of Sussex was building a successful acting career, first attracting widespread attention after joining the cast of the hit legal drama Suits in 2011.

She starred as Rachel Zane until 2018, with her final episode airing shortly before she married Prince Harry. Many fans have long been curious about what Meghan was like before meeting the Duke of Sussex, and several people who worked with her on the set of Suits have now shared their experiences.

Writing on a Reddit forum, one said: “I worked as an AD on suits for 2 seasons. MM was nothing but kind and professional. She would joke around with the crew and would often ask how my fiancé was doing, remembered her name and we’d chat about normal things between takes.”

Another posted: “I was an assistant director on Suits and most people found her to be decently nice there as well. She wasn’t like loved by the crew like some actors were but she was fine to work with.”

Others recounted stories they had heard from people they know, with one person posting: “I know a number of people who worked on Suits and a couple who worked with her on another but i’m pretty sure that was before her relationship with Harry started. Most notably, a truck costumer I’ve had on my team a few times held that position on Suits for a number of seasons and had nothing but great things to say about her and the rest of the cast.”

A fourth added: “I know people who have met her that worked in the Tower they filmed in and they never had anything negative to say about her.”

Someone else wrote: “I served her and a few suits cast members in a restaurant and she was very nice. She had come in a few times but I only served her once. She made sure to quiet the group down so I could explain the dishes and was overall very pleasant.”

Meghan began dating Harry while shooting Suits, but as their relationship became more serious, she chose to quit the legal drama.

Talking about her decision to leave, she told the BBC: “I don’t see it as giving anything up. I just see it as a change. It’s a new chapter, right? I’ve ticked this box, and I feel very proud of the work I’ve done there, and now it’s time to work with [Harry] as a team.”
