‘They basically said to me you need some surgery to get rid of your diseased bowel, but we can’t do it while you’re so skinny.’
Jordan added: ‘So they put me on something called TPN. Total Parental Nutrition and I was attached to a bag of nutrient feeding for 24 hours a day.’
Explaining he was nil by mouth at the very start, he added: ‘It got to a point and it was my favourite day when I was in there, they said ”really good news, we’re going to allow you to have liquids but only short amounts, only very small amounts.”
‘What they did is get a sponge on a stick and they dipped it in a tea and if you brush this on your tongue you’ll be fine.
‘It was the first taste of flavour I had in such a long time.’

Jordan previously shared he was hospitalised back in 2018, but still managed to make £1,000 by buying, reselling, and comping from his bed.
At the time, he told The Sun: ‘Two weeks in, I wasn’t coping well and I was feeling really down. I was just sitting there watching TV and doing nothing.
‘I needed to make this time count and I decided to turn it around and do something worthwhile instead.’
‘The goal was to make the best out of a bad situation and I think I have.’
In 2024, Jordan joined the This Morning team, and is now a regular on the show with his money saving tips.
CROHN’S DISEASE EXPLAINED
Crohn’s disease is a long-term condition that causes inflammation of the lining of the digestive system.
Inflammation most commonly occurs in the last section of the small or large intestine but it can affect any part of the digestive system.
Common symptoms can include:
diarrhoea
abdominal pain
fatigue (extreme tiredness)
unintended weight loss
blood and mucus in your faeces (stools)
Remission occurs when people with the disease go long periods of time without symptoms however these periods can be followed by flare ups of symptoms.
Why it happens
The exact cause of Crohn’s disease is unknown. However, research suggests a combination of factors may be responsible. These include:
genetics – genes you inherit from your parents may increase your risk of developing Crohn’s disease
the immune system – the inflammation may be caused by a problem with the immune system that causes it to attack healthy bacteria in the gut
previous infection – a previous infection may trigger an abnormal response from the immune system
smoking – smokers with Crohn’s disease usually have more severe symptoms than non-smokers
environmental factors – Crohn’s disease is most common in westernised countries such as the UK, and least common in poorer parts of the world such as Africa, which suggests the environment has a part to play
