A source has claimed that despite vowing to stand by  their parents, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s tight-knit relationship with their mother, Sarah Ferguson, has “collapsed”. The daughters’ relationship with their mother has allegedly been impacted by the latest embarrassing revelations about Fergie’s links to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Ms Ferguson was mentioned several times in the latest batch of Epstein files released by the US Department of Justice last week. While her name is mentioned in the files, this does not suggest any wrongdoing. Ms Ferguson’s email exchanges with the late US financier have brought a fresh wave of humiliation upon her.

The newly released files appeared to show the Princesses’ father pictured on all fours while kneeling over an unidentified woman on the floor. Meanwhile, emails showed “The Duke” asking Epstein whether he could be his “pet,” among other disturbing details.

Other emails, which appeared to be sent by Fergie, praised the late convicted US financier, calling him a legend and describing him as the “brother I have always wished for”.

Beatrice and Eugenie are also mentioned in the emails, with one email from Ms Ferguson stating that she is waiting for her youngest daughter to return from a “sha****g weekend”.

Amid the latest scandal that has repeatedly tainted the Royal Family’s image, a source has claimed that Beatrice and Eugenie’s relationship with their mother has seen better days.

They told the Daily Mail: “I would actually go so far as to say that they are even more disappointed in their mother than their father now.”

They added: “They also love their mother dearly, of course they do. She’s a wonderful grandmother, too, and they are deeply concerned about how this is all affecting her mentally as much as their father.

“But I think it’s fair to say the scales have also somewhat fallen from their eyes.”

Andrew and Fergie have not commented on the newly released Epstein files.
