GQEBERHA – The family of TikTok star Dugulth “Junior King” Ferreira is preparing to say their final farewell to the performer, as his daughter recovers from injuries sustained in the fatal crash that claimed his life.

The 29-year-old choreographer, dancer and rapper who had built a significant following on TikTok, will be remembered at two services this week.

A celebration of King’s life will take place today (18 December) at the Gelvandale Stadium, followed by his funeral service on Saturday, 20 December at 10:00 at the Father’s House Church in Paterson Road, North End in Gqeberha.

His daughter, who was also in the vehicle at the time of the accident, was discharged from hospital yesterday.

The tragic head-on collision occurred on the N1 near Verkeerdevlei on 11 December, claiming the 29-year-old performer’s life and injuring his two children.

Aquilla Frost, the children’s mother, shared an emotional message on social media following the accident and hospital discharge of her daughter.

“This has been the most difficult week of my entire life,” she wrote. “Losing my first love and the father of my children is something I never expected… not this festive season, not this soon.”

Frost described the trauma when receiving that devastating call: “That phone call replays in my head every single morning. Seeing my son and daughter in pain. Breaking the news to [my son] that his dad is no longer with us. Being strong for [my daughter] in hospital, before and after her surgery.”

Despite the devastating loss, she praised Ferreira’s protective actions in his final moments. “In your very last act of service, you protected our children — and for that, I will be forever grateful,” she said. “You were a father until your very last breath and that will never be forgotten.”

The memorial service at Gelvandale Stadium will be broadcast live, with attendees advised to bring camping chairs.
