Music executive Jimmy Henchman, born James Rosemond, has denied claims by rapper 50 Cent that he was stabbed in prison.
The allegations surfaced after 50 Cent posted on Instagram mocking Henchman’s prison situation, referencing a supposed stabbing while Henchman serves his life sentence at FCI in Louisiana.
In response, Henchman stated, “That 100% ain’t true. I’ve been down 15 years. I’ve never even had an argument in this place. A lot of people in my position, given my notoriety, wouldn’t survive this situation.” He emphasized that he has avoided all physical confrontations and has maintained composure despite his high-profile status and longstanding industry feuds.
Henchman clarified that he is not in protective custody and has never been involved in any knife-related incidents in prison. He also expressed frustration over 50 Cent’s continued public jabs, noting that the feud dates back to 2005 when 50 Cent dropped The Game from G-Unit, whose manager was Henchman.
The feud escalated in 2007 after a G-Unit member assaulted Henchman’s 14-year-old son, ultimately leading to Henchman’s 2018 murder-for-hire conviction. Federal prosecutors reported that Henchman paid $30,000 in cocaine for the hit, resulting in a life sentence plus 30 years.
Henchman expressed disappointment over public ridicule, stating, “The reason I’m in here is that someone assaulted my 14-year-old boy. To allow these dudes to still poke fun at me in my situation is crazy. That’s ridiculous.”
Despite 50 Cent’s claims, Henchman insists he has stayed disciplined and avoided prison violence, maintaining that his incarceration has been conflict-free.
