Yvonne Finally Tells the Truth! Her Sh0cking Confession About Jarrad Confirms What Fans Suspected All Along
During the Farmer Wants A Wife 2026 finale, it’s fair to say hearts were broken and hard truths were spoken. In the end, Farmer Jarrad and Dylan walked away with their chosen ladies, Brodie and Ally respectively, leaving the majority of fans delighted.
However, some had unanswered questions about Jarrad.
While Scarlett graciously accepted Dylan’s rejection, leaving a positive impression on fans, Yvonne beat Jarrad to his decision.
She admitted she wasn’t getting what she needed from him and the connection was suffering for it. Suspecting that Brodie would be his final choice Yvonne stopped Jarrad in his tracks during his final speech to her, and told him that he simply “isn’t her farmer”, walking away before he could have the final word.
As fans are coming to terms with the surprise moment, many have been left wondering one thing about Farmer Jarrad: what is he really like off-camera?
After receiving very minimal air time this season, Jarrad left fans with more questions than answers, with many calling him “disengaged” and “a closed book” during the show, while others put his “bland” behaviour down to a discomfort with being in front of the cameras.
“There is something so off about Jarrad,” one viewer wrote online after the finale. “I just can’t put my finger on it…It’s like he has no depth or personality. Bland as an arrowroot biscuit.”
“I feel he is awkward in front of cameras,” another responded. “I think he would be a different person when the cameras aren’t in his face!”
“It would be very intimidating,” a third viewer agreed. “To be truthful it would be hard being yourself on the show.”
Speaking to WHO, Yvonne opened up about what the farmer was really like behind the scenes, and why that convinced her to stick by him for so long.

Jarrad’s girls ‘definitely saw a lot more different sides to him’
The case manager revealed that “off camera, [Jarrad] had a bit of a goofy side”.
“He was really funny, more relaxed,” Yvonne explained. “You definitely saw a lot more different sides to him.”
Yvonne also seconded what many fans already assumed about the farmer. Yes, he’s camera shy.
“You’re trying to be your best self in front of the camera,” she said. “That’s what I feel like he was doing, which isn’t the worst thing.
“But for myself, I know I’ve received a lot of backlash for my comments and actions. I’m a goofy gal and I had fun with it, and I think it’s better to just be yourself, regardless of what other people think.”
After Yvonne received backlash online for being opinionated (God forbid), she believes Jarrad’s decision to be more reserved on screen “worked in his favour”.
However, looking online at fan sentiment now, it seems it didn’t work out quite as well as anticipated.
While he may not have received backlash for comments he said, being called “bland as an arrowroot biscuit” isn’t exactly what you want to hear either…
