An Australian Woman Seriously Injured in a Scooter Crash in Bali — Her Friends Are Doing Everything They Can to Bring Her Safely Home
An Australian woman has been seriously injured following a scooter crash in Bali – with her friends launching a fundraiser to fly her home safely as her medical bills soar.
Amy Donohue, a remedial masseuse and energy healer from the Gold Coast, was in Bali with a group of friends for a wedding when she suffered serious injuries in a scooter accident.
She is now facing medical bills exceeding $30,000 – which are continuing to rise.
Ms Donohue’s friends have now launched a GoFundMe to get her home safely to Australia.

“Amy is so incredibly loved, and right now we just want her surrounded by the people who love her most,” Bride Laura Williams said in the fundraiser.
“For Amy, her family and everyone who loves her, the only priority right now is making sure she receives the care she needs and gets home safely.

“The financial cost of the emergency evacuation, hospital treatment, ongoing medical care and getting her home is becoming overwhelming.”
Ms Williams said donations would go towards her friend’s medical expenses, evacuation costs, ongoing care and safe return to Australia.
“Let’s get Amy home,” she said.
