Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who was prince Andrew, has had a caravan brought into the garden of his soon-to-be home but images have revealed the mobile home is a far cry from his life of luxury

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor was sensationally kicked out of his 30-bed mansion by his brother King Charles but he had swapped the posh home for something less luxurious.

Royal Lodge, the former home of the Queen Mother, was Andrew’s for over 20 years but he was evicted and has now moved to a secluded five-bed home on the private Sandringham Estate – named Wood Farm. Now, Andrew’s fall from grace might be even greater than thought after the ex-prince had a white mobile home delivered to his soon-to-be property.

The static caravan has been put on bricks in Marsh Farm – a slightly bigger home in Sandringham where Andrew is expected to move into after renovations are done – and appears to have moss on the structure. Andrew denies any wrongdoing.

This caravan is reportedly a £26,000 Willerby Meridian Lodge model and was paid for with money handed to the disgraced ex-royal by King Charles for “living expenses”.

The caravan is said to have been brought in to house the ex-Duke’s security staff. Despite being bought by a former-royal, the mobile home appears dated and tight.

The £26,000 mobile home is a standard two-bedroom model with no fancy interior or details. The caravan has brown and grey carpeted floors in some parts and vinyl flooring in others. It also has a compact kitchen in an open space with the small living room area.

One bedroom appears to be larger than the other, with the smaller room just big enough for the bare essentials. The lucky guards who will spend time in the mobile home are however lucky as they get a bathroom each – although one appears to have just enough room to stand in.

This is a far cry from the 30-bedroom mansion Andrew lived in with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson for two decades, which should have bene big enough to house the late-Queen’s son’s security and staff.

A source, according to the Daily Mail, however has claimed this average caravan is a sign the disgraced prince could be a “changed man” after his family fallout.

They said: “Andrew uses it himself, would you believe, and what’s more shocking is, he likes it. He really is a changed man; he’s enjoyed sitting in the caravan. It’s novel for him.”

People thought the caravan was for his staff, but he doesn’t really have any. The staff who work elsewhere at Sandringham already help out, but many are reluctant to live in.” The caravan has reportedly been used by Andrew when he makes visits to see his soon-to-be home.

A friend of Fergie reportedly said: “He’s swapped ski chalets for static chalets. His mother would be turning in her grave to see that monstrosity in his back garden.”
