Prince Harry is back in the US after stepping out in the UK last week to attend the start of his trial against the publisher of The Daily Mail, Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL). The Duke of Sussex, 41, is one of the claimants in the case who has accused ANL of illegal information gathering in the past – claims ANL has denied.
While Harry was therefore in London for most of last week to give his testimony and witness the start of the trial, this didn’t see him meet any royal relatives. This was despite the fact that his estranged brother, Prince William, was, at some points, just a short car journey away. Although William, 43, and his wife Princess Catherine, 44, were in Scotland on one of the days Harry was in London, they were both then back at their Forest Lodge home in Windsor. This is just a short drive from London, where Harry was staying.
Although the brothers could have met, one royal expert and author has said that they still remain estranged, which is not helped by the fact Harry is stuck in the past and “nursing old wounds”, as shown in his current court case.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, royal author Robert Jobson tells HELLO!: “Yes, they were in the same country, but it’s like they’re worlds apart.
“William and Kate are the embodiment of the future of the monarchy, while Harry looks trapped in the past
“William is out there doing the job, serving, while Harry, back in court and nursing old wounds, is still fighting yesterday’s battles. The divide is now absolute and Harry’s distance from his family isn’t measured in miles anymore.”

As well as not seeing his brother on his return to the UK last week, Harry also did not meet up with his father King Charles, who spent some of the week outside of London.
This is despite the fact the King, 77, and Harry met up in September and appeared to have put their relationship back on good terms.
It is likely that the monarch would not wanted to have seen his youngest son while a court case is ongoing.
It is also believed the King had a busy schedule which saw him spend a good proportion of the week away from London.
