Before Prince William competed in the annual Royal Charity Polo Cup at Guards Polo Club, Kate Middleton arrived alongside her husband’s equerry, Squadron Leader Mike Reynolds. For the day, the Princess of Wales wore a black and white gingham maxi dress.

It’s shaping up to be a busy sporting weekend for the Wales family: As the royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, Kate traditionally attends both the men’s and women’s finals to present the trophies to the winners and the runners-up. In past year, she’s also brought Prince George and Princess Charlotte to the men’s finals.
Kate last attended the Royal Charity Polo Cup in 2023, wearing a cornflower blue Beulah London maxi dress (which is still in stock!).

An avid polo enthusiast, Prince William has previously competed in several charity polo matches alongside or against his brother, Prince Harry. However, the Duke of Sussex was carrying out his own engagements today in Birmingham; he hasn’t played in the Royal Charity Cup since 2019. Though Prince Harry is in the UK, he is not expected to see his brother.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have had a packed schedule this week; on Monday, Kate visited Evelina London Children’s Hospital in London, and on Tuesday, Prince William visited a Welsh School in west London. He was also in Hastings, southern England yesterday for a day of engagements. And while he is the royal patron of the English Football Association, he is not expected to attend England’s quarterfinal match in the Men’s World Cup, which takes place in Miami tomorrow.
