Meghan Markle’s As Ever products are reportedly “flying off the shelves”, according to new figures. Earlier this week, internet sleuths reported a glitch on the As Ever website, which revealed an amount of unsold inventory.
Sources suggest that these figures were the amount left over from an initial order of one million jars, as reported by The Sun. Given this information and according to the unsold inventory as posted on Reddit, Meghan’s Signature Fruit Spread Box had a total of 137,465 units available.
As the spread box sells for £31 ($42), that means the single product alone would have generated the duchess £26.7million in sales. A source with inside knowledge of the business told the Daily Express: “While it’s normal for a business not to talk about sales data, I think it’s fair to say that the glitch that led to this data being revealed, points to a business that isn’t just successful, it’s flying – literally off the shelf. Meghan inadvertently revealed in a recent interview a purchase order of 1 million – for one product!
“It doesn’t take a genius to work out that what is left points to a company doing extremely well. That large stock order was obviously part of the international expansion plans the Duchess spoken about for brand.
“Given how the product is tracking and what the data is showing, it’s likely they’ll have to increase what’s in the ‘stockroom’ to meet demand when the product is made available in other international territories.”
The amount of product available was revealed after users were reportedly able to exploit a bug in the As Ever website to generate precise stock numbers for her collection.
The investigator stated that they were given the figures after attempting to add an unusually large number of items to their online shopping basket, which prompted the As Ever website to disclose the actual maximum stock it had available to ship.
The bug was identified by Reddit user InfiniteSky55, who said they had tried to add 200,000 of each item to their shopping basket on As Ever. The stock left included more than 15,000 mulling spice kits, over 40,000 orange marmalades and over 27,000 candles remaining.

Shortly after the post went viral on the platform, the As Ever website was amended to remove the bug, with purchase limits put in place for goods.
Users can now only buy up to 50 spread gift boxes, or 20 bottles of wine. As Ever has not yet commented on the bug.
Last year in an interview with Bloomberg’s The Circuit, Meghan Markle commented on her inventory. She said: “We prepped for the second seasonal drop and ten-exed (multiplied by a factor of 10) our inventory. We thought for sure it would at least last for a couple of weeks – that sold out in a couple of hours.”
“The conversation goes from at the start of this year talking about a few thousand jars and lids to, ‘we need to do a purchase order of a million’.”
