Following a long wait, Apple TV has officially released the trailer for the third season of Silo—the dystopian thriller series highly acclaimed by critics. Based on Hugh Howey’s bestselling trilogy, the series portrays a vision of the final 10,000 humans living in a massive underground bunker, completely isolated from a toxic Earth’s surface.

An Ambitious Narrative Shift

Picking up from the cliffhanger of the second season, the upcoming 10-episode installment features a bold, dual-narrative structure: one timeline in the present day and another dating back centuries earlier.

In the present, the central character Juliette Nichols (played by Rebecca Ferguson) faces a harsh reality: her memory has been wiped clean after surviving a forced “cleaning”. Juliette confesses in the trailer: “I look at myself in the mirror and I don’t even know who’s looking back at me.”. She also raises a major question: “I get splinters of memories. If the founders cared so much, why do they need to kill a silo?”.

Meanwhile, the “Before Times” storyline follows journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) as they uncover a dark conspiracy with catastrophic, irreversible consequences. The trailer also teases a mysterious new character played by Colin Hanks, who delivers a chilling warning: “The end of the world cannot be stopped. It can only be survived.”.

Expanded Cast and Release Schedule

In addition to returning cast members such as Rebecca Ferguson, Common, Harriet Walter, and Chinaza Uche, the third season introduces new faces, including Laura Innes, Jessica Brown Findlay, Morven Christie, Reed Birney, and Matt Craven, with Steve Zahn also set to return. Silo is not only a sci-fi hit with an impressive 90% Rotten Tomatoes score, but also a strategic project for Apple TV, having already been renewed for a fourth and final season.

Fans can begin the third season on July 3. Following the premiere, new episodes will be released every Friday through September 4.
