Love Island 2026 is officially over – and so, according to one expert, is one of series 13’s sweetest relationships.
The explosive finale earlier this week sent this year’s starry-eyed couples tumbling out of the villa and into the real world, where flirty DMs, glamorous parties and the brutal logistics of long-distance relationships replace Casa Amor and villa challenges. History shows a handful of pairings go the distance – some even marry and start families – but most unravel surprisingly fast once the cameras stop rolling.
Now, fresh claims suggest one of this year’s favourite couples is already heading for trouble.
Astrologer and tarot expert Inbaal Honigman has told the Daily Star that Yasmin and Tommy will be the first to split. “The first couple to split will be Yasmin and Tommy, who will find out that their hobbies and pastimes are very different once they’re out of the villa,” she said.
Honigman believes the pair, who looked like one of the strongest couples inside the villa, will struggle to adjust to life without being together 24/7. Away from the intensity of the show, both face packed showbiz schedules – podcast recordings, interviews, social media collaborations – alongside time with family, friends and their own social lives. Without shared passions to anchor them, the cracks will widen.
“Without any passions and interests in common, they’ll spend their time initially waiting for each other to finish their activities, then they’ll just spend longer and longer apart, and eventually they’ll fizzle out, each declaring the other one to be boring,” she explained. Personality differences compound the risk: “If one partner is more into the arts, and the other is more into sports, there won’t be a happy halfway house for them. They needed to be together as means to an end, and they could make a good team, but it’s not a romantic match.”
The prediction may surprise fans. Yasmin and Tommy appeared to be blossoming as they left the villa, placing fourth after being dumped by Samraj and Mica in a brutal final twist. The only controversy they faced came when Tommy was accused of having a “secret girlfriend” on the outside. He clarified to Maya Jama that he had been in a relationship for just under a year before splitting “maybe a few weeks” before entering the villa, and that he had been upfront about it. Yasmin was unfazed, telling Tommy on camera: “To be fair, you did tell me that you came out of a relationship quite quickly before coming in this, so I was aware of that.”
Still, Honigman’s analysis cuts through the villa glow. Once the shared bubble bursts and real-world schedules, interests and personalities take centre stage, she sees little foundation left for romance. For Yasmin and Tommy, the suitcase may still be packed – but the relationship, if the stars are to be believed, is already on borrowed time.
