Meghan Markle’s co-star in a new film has split the beans on what it’s like working with her, after the Duchess’s shock return to acting. The Duchess of Sussex made headlines last November after pictures of her filming in Pasadena, Los Angeles, emerged.

Close Personal Friends was filmed at Amazon MGM Studios, with Meghan appearing in a cameo. Meghan’s co-stars include Lily Collins, Brie Larson, Jack Quaid — son of Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid — and Brit Henry Golding in Close Personal Friends.

Mr Quaid has now spoken about working with the Duchess on set during a new interview.

Speaking to US outlet Entertainment Tonight, he gave a three-word verdict saying “it was insane”.

He told the outlet: “Yeah — no, it was insane.

“The main cast of it is myself, Brie Larson, Henry Golding and Lily Collins, which is just an incredible group of people to be a part of.

“And every day, we went to set and we just tried our best to make each other laugh.”

He added that the film is said to be a romantic comedy however, he branded it as more of a comedy.

He said: “But it’s about two couples, I don’t know if I can say anything else, but I just had a blast making that movie.”

Meghan’s latest offering in Hollywood revolves around two couples —one famous and one not —who meet in Santa Barbara and become fast friends.

The film is directed by Jason Orley, who has also written the script alongside Isaac Aptaker.
