Man Accused of Ki-ll-ing Ex-Girlfriend After She Tried to Escape Arrested Following Augusta Motel Standoff
AUGUSTA MOTEL HIDEOUT ENDS FOR ACCUSED MURDERER
The man accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend inside a Hall County convenience store after she desperately tried to escape has been arrested in Augusta.
Investigators say 45-year-old Antwane Thurmond (top right) had been on the run for a week before authorities tracked him to the Studio 6 Motel on Wrightsboro Road, where he was taken into custody Thursday.
Thurmond is accused of killing 44-year-old Tia Keith (bottom right), a beloved braider and loctician, on July 16 after chasing her into a convenience store and continuing to shoot her.
