Meghan Markle’s As Ever lifestyle brand recently came under scrutiny when a glitch on the website inadvertently revealed inventory figures for specific products. For a brief time, shoppers were able to see how many units were available to purchase for items from the line – including approximately 220,000 jars of jam, 30,000 jars of honey, 90,000 candles, 80,000 tins of flower sprinkles and roughly 70,000 bottles of wine.
The high stock numbers prompted speculation that sales were poor. But one insider hit back, telling People that it actually suggests that there is strong demand for the items and that Meghan is preparing to take her brand global.

Now, new reports suggest that the 44-year-old is ready to pull the trigger on her expansion plans and hopes to ‘dominate’ the UK jam market. But it’s a move that her husband Harry allegedly feels ‘wary’ about.
A source told Closer that Meghan believes this is her moment to go big with her brand, and believes she can make some serious money by launching in Europe and Asia. “She’s been gearing up for this next phase for a long time, that’s why there’s been so much stock produced, and she’s ready to pull the trigger,” they claimed.
“It will give her a lot of satisfaction to dominate the UK jam market, which is something she really believes will be possible once her brand is exposed to a wider audience in Britain.”
However, it will mean a huge financial investment for the Sussexes – a risk Prince Harry is allegedly uncertain about after a number of professional setbacks. “The problem is the cost,” the source said. “Setting up proper distribution abroad and marketing it the way she wants takes an enormous amount of cash, and Harry is very wary…

Last week reports suggested that the Duchess’ cooking show, With Love, Meghan, is unlikely to see a third series.
Both the second series and the Christmas special failed to enter Netflix top 1,000 – and were both panned by critics. Meanwhile other projects, such as an adaptation of the Carley Fortune novel, ‘Meet Me at the Lake’, have not yet materialised.

The couple served as executive producers of the film through their media company, Archewell Productions, with the documentary following four girls who “strive to be a top-selling ‘Cookie Queen,’ navigating an $800 million business in which childhood and ambition collide,” in collaboration with the Girl Scouts.
But even that has sparked an online row. According to some reports, there were a number of unoccupied seats at the Eccles Theatre screening. In contrast, people had to be turned away from the premiere of Olivia Wilde’s ‘The Invite,’ starring Seth Rogen, Penelope Cruz and Edward Norton the night before, the Daily Mail reports.
