Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are said to be considering a relocation which would ensure Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is unable to visit.

Reports today claim Beatrice and Edoardo are to leave their home in the Cotswolds for a new life in the US, which experts say would further distance themselves from Andrew and mum Sarah Ferguson. Andrew, though, has always denied any wrongdoing.

Tom Sykes, a royal journalist, said: “The Mail (referencing reports of the relocation in the Daily Mail) is too polite to mention that such a move would have the effect of making it impossible for their parents to ever visit them, given the desire of Congress to see them testify.”

Edoardo, a property developer, also owns a house in New York City, and often works there. Writing for The Royalist, Mr Sykes continued: “The report said the feeling was that staying in Britain would leave them as ‘sitting ducks’ while the York family’s problems continue to generate headlines, and that moving abroad could help give the marriage a boost and get it back on track.”

But Beatrice and Edoardo only bought the extensive farmhouse in the Cotswolds in 2021 and have appeared to settle there with children Sienna, four, and one-year-old Athena. Before living in the Cotswolds, Beatrice and Edoardo resided at an apartment at St James Palace in central London, the Express reports.

Both Beatrice and Eugenie feature in the latest tranche of Epstein files released by the US State Department in January. Their parents, former prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, also feature heavily in the files and were, in October last year, stripped of their royal titles by King Charles. There is no suggestion of wrongdoing by either Beatrice or Eugenie, while their father has always denied any wrongdoing.

Beyond the UK, Edoardo’s family own the luxury Italian estate, Villa Mapelli Mozzi. The property, which has been part of the family’s holdings since the 13th century, is located in Ponte San Pietro, a small town an hour’s drive from Lake Como, Italy.

Fresh details emerged about the former Duchess of York’s friendship with the late convicted sex offender in the documents released by the US Department of Justice earlier this year. Sarah was seen praising the late sex offender in 2009 as “the brother I have always wished for” in an email exchange, and she repeatedly asked him for monetary support.
