McLaren have confirmed a new multi-year partnership with sportswear brand Puma, starting this year. The agreement brings to an end the Formula 1 team’s previous sponsorship deal with UK-based brand Castore, with which McLaren had a deal believed to be worth around £30million per year.
That Castore agreement, which began at the start of 2022, was set to be a five-year deal which would have run until the end of 2026. However, as had been rumoured in recent weeks, McLaren have chosen to end the partnership 12 months earlier than planned to begin this new chapter with Puma.
German brand Puma will now supply teamwear and kit to drivers and staff for all of McLaren’s racing outfits. That means not only their F1 team, but also their projects in IndyCar, F1 Academy and even their Sim Racing squad. From 2027, when McLaren’s Hypercar programme begins in the World Endurance Championship, that new team will also be included in the deal.
“Our sport is in incredible shape and it has been fantastic to see an influx of major fashion and lifestyle brands who are looking for deep and meaningful ways to engage with our growing global fanbase,” said McLaren Racing chief executive Zak Brown.

“I cannot think of a better partner than sportswear giant Puma to help us supercharge our portfolio of fan wear. We know fans want to express their passion for our sport both at and away from track, and Puma’ innovative approach to design and culture will offer exciting collections and experiences worldwide.”
Through the new partnership, the Lifestyle and Replica Collections will also be released, giving fans a chance to get their hands on McLaren’s latest merchandise all bearing the Puma logo. The inclusion of the Replica Collection means supporters will be able to purchase clothing mirroring that worn by drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri in the paddock.
Despite losing world constructors’ champions McLaren as a client, Castore continues to maintain a significant presence in F1. Its deals with Red Bull Racing and Alpine will continue into 2026, while the Manchester-based firm earlier this month confirmed a new partnership with Haas.
Team principal Ayao Komatsu said: “As ambitions and expectations for TGR Haas F1 Team grow significantly, we’re delighted to partner with Castore to present this elevated merchandise experience for our fans.
“As a name that has quickly become synonymous within our sport, Castore understands our need for agility and quality when providing the best to our team. And, as a global brand, we’re excited to bring a greater offering via a first-class retail experience to our supporters.”
