Meghan Markle has been urged to not appear on shows like Australian Masterchef, just days after fans learn of her upcoming apperance on the latest series. During her work commitments in Australia, Meghan took some time to head to the studio to film for the popular Network Ten show.

Australian showbiz correspondent, Tom Ford, took to social media on Wednesday to share the announcement of Meghan’s latest venture. He penned: “Breaking; Not actually a day of rest for Meghan. She’s been busy filming Masterchef as a guest judge. Not sure if she cooked anything other than a succulent appearance fee!”

The poll – which ran between 8am on April 16 and 2.45pm on April 20 – saw 2,449 people cast a vote, with a staggering 2,343 people voting that Meghan should not appear on shows like Masterchef.

Just 83 people voted that they wanted to see Meghan’s appearance, with an additional 23 people unsure on if they would like to see Meghan appear on the show or not.

Fans took to the comment section, where one fan added: “How can Meghan be a guest judge when she is Not a culinary expert. She can’t even cook!

Another added: “She is the last person on earth to be on the show. She only knows how to buy packaged food. She doesn’t know how to cook. Harry really blew it picking her!”

The official MasterChef Instagram account also shared the exciting announcement. They wrote: “We’re welcoming someone SUPER special into the MasterChef Kitchen. Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, makes a special guest appearance this season as she returns to Australia for the first time since 2018.

“Joining a star-studded lineup of Guest Judges and culinary icons, Meghan helps guide some of the most impressive home cooks the competition has ever seen. This is the series of MasterChef you don’t want to miss.”
