Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was pictured driving into the royal Windsor estate on Christmas Day. The ex-Duke of York cut a lonely figure as he drove the vehicle through a gate and into the estate on December 25.
The late Queen’s second son, who appeared to be alone in the car, was spotted not long after many members of the Royal Family enjoyed festive cheers from members of the public gathered in Sandringham. King Charles and Queen Camilla led many royals from Sandringham House to St Mary Magdalene Church this morning, where they attended the Christmas Day service.
Among the royals attending the service were Princess Catherine and Prince William with their three children – Prince George, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte.
Zara and Mike Tindall, as well as Princess Anne, were also in attendance, together with the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and their son and daughter – James and Lady Louise.
Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, also attended the Christmas Day service alongside their beloved husbands – Jack Brooksbank and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. The two princesses, who retained their titles while both their parents were stripped of it, were spotted wishing a “happy Christmas” to some of the royal fans gathered outside the church.
Andrew did not join his daughters at Sandringham, spending instead Christmas at the Royal Lodge in Windsor. Sarah Ferguson, Eugenie and Beatrice’s mother, is also believed not to have travelled to Sandringham.

Andrew and Sarah, the former Duchess of York, are soon expected to move out of the 30-room mansions in Windsor, with the ex-prince relocating to the private Sandringham estate.
Andrew was stripped of his ‘prince’ title and other honours in October, following weeks of intense scrutiny over his links with late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Buckingham Palace also announced at the time that Andrew had been served a formal notice to surrender his lease on Royal Lodge.
The ex-Duke of York has repeatedly and vehemently denied any wrongdoing.
