The Words That Stunned Police: Patrick Clancy’s Alleged Shout Revealed in Court as Officers Entered the House
A Massachusetts police officer testifying at the murder trial of Lindsay Clancy revealed what Patrick Clancy yelled after finding his children dead.
Brian Josephine, who works for the Duxbury Police Department, was one of the first officers to respond to Patrick’s 911 call after he found Lindsay seriously injured outside their home after an apparent suicide attempt.
Josephine, whose testimony was streamed live by the Associated Press, testified that while he was attending to Lindsay in the backyard, he heard screaming from Patrick inside the house.
Responding with fellow Duxbury police officer Stephen Hall, Josephine subsequently entered the home and went down to the basement, where Patrick was.
“She killed the f—ing kids,” Patrick then yelled, according to Josephine.

Lindsay is charged with three counts of murder in connection with the deaths of her three young children — Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and 8-month-old Callan — who were found by their father after he came home from picking up food in January 2023.
Josephine said he first saw Dawson, whom he picked up and took upstairs to the responding EMTs.
Dawson was lying on his back on the floor, according to Josephine, who, after taking the child outside, went back downstairs and found Cora and Callan in another part of the basement.

Lindsay does not deny killing her children. Her defense claims that she was suffering from postpartum psychosis at the time and is not criminally liable for their deaths.
The trial began Monday, July 27, and could last several weeks.
On Wednesday, July 29, prosecutors played the 911 call Patrick made when he found Lindsay after she had jumped out of a second-story window.
While on the call, Patrick discovered that Cora, Dawson and Callan had been strangled with exercise bands.

The call’s audio was not played on the court livestream, which was aired by the Associated Press and several other outlets, but Lindsay was visible in the courtroom sobbing, holding her head in her hands.
While prosecutors have argued in court that Lindsay deliberately killed the children, her attorney has claimed she was overmedicated amid her postpartum psychosis.
Patrick has previously said he forgives his wife.
