The Princess of Wales returned to the DMMI Royal Charity Polo Cup at Guards Polo Club in Windsor today, marking her first attendance at the annual event since 2023.
Catherine, 44, had been absent from the charity match for the past two years while undergoing cancer treatment and subsequent recovery.
Her appearance at the polo grounds came as Prince William, also 44, competed in the fundraising fixture for the fifteenth time.
The future King has been a regular participant in the charity match, though his wife’s presence on the sidelines represents another milestone in her gradual return to public engagements following her health battles.

Catherine opted for a sleeveless black and white gingham dress by Temperley London, a summery choice well-suited to the sweltering conditions at the Windsor venue.
The same design was spotted on Sophie Hunter, wife of actor Benedict Cumberbatch, at Wimbledon earlier this week, though Ms Hunter accessorised hers with a matching fabric belt.
The princess wore her hair down in a straight, sleek style and kept her makeup understated.
She arrived at Guards Polo Club accompanied by Squadron Leader Mike Reynolds, Prince William’s equerry, before her husband prepared to take to the field.

This year’s event is anticipated to push the cumulative total raised by the polo cup beyond Ā£15million, with proceeds supporting 10 charitable organisations close to the hearts of William and Catherine.
The beneficiaries reflect the breadth of causes championed by the royal couple, spanning homelessness to maternal mental health.
Among those receiving funds are Wales Air Ambulance and The Royal College of Paramedics, both celebrating their 25th anniversaries, alongside Evelina London Children’s Hospital, The Passage, TÅ· Hafan children’s hospice, Forward Trust, Shout, Maternal Mental Health Alliance, We Are Farming Minds, and the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.
Prince William received support from other family members beyond his wife, with cousin Peter Phillips attending alongside his new bride, Harriet Phillips, and her daughter Georgina from a previous marriage.

The newlyweds, who tied the knot in the Cotswolds last month, have been frequent fixtures at royal events this week, having also appeared in the Royal Box at Wimbledon on Wednesday with Queen Camilla.
Royals author Catherine Mayer emphasised the significance of Catherine’s continued public presence, telling People: “Kate is the closest they have to a rockstar member these days, and she’s the one everyone wants to see.”
Ms Mayer added: “That’s a huge burden for anyone to carry, let alone someone who has had existential battles with her health.”
