Local law enforcement received a distress call via 911 from an individual reporting that a woman had shot her son and appeared to be suffering from a drug overdose.

Upon entering the garage at the scene, responding officers were met with the ghastly sight of both Briasha Stroud and her young son suffering from gunshot wounds. Prosecutors allege that Stroud shot her 12-year-old son in the head before sustaining a gunshot wound herself.
