Outlander is ending after season 8, with new episodes airing every Friday on Starz.
The show’s Instagram revealed Outlander will embark on a worldwide music tour this summer, called Outlander in Concert: Echoes Through the Highlands.

Outlander may be ending this season on TV … but it looks like the story isn’t over just yet.

Fans of the long-running drama are dreading the day season 8 officially ends, especially as new episodes drop every Friday on Starz. As the show concludes the love story between Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), viewers are anxiously wondering if they’ll be able to handle not seeing their favorite fictional couple on screen.
While we don’t know if there’s a chance for Claire and Jamie to remain on TV after Outlander, the show did drop a surprise that fans truly didn’t see coming.
According to an official Instagram post on March 24, Outlander is taking its fictional world on a worldwide musical tour, where viewers can re-experience the magic the show has brought over the last decade. Tickets for the spectacle, called Outlander in Concert: Echoes Through the Highlands, will go on sale on March 27, 2026.

“The wait is finally over!” the caption read alongside the preview. “Outlander in Concert: Echoes Through the Highlands sets off this September in the US, with the journey continuing across Europe through March 2027.”
Given how this news will extend the life of Outlander in such a unique way, fans were absolutely ecstatic.

According to the event’s official website, “Outlander in Concert brings eight seasons of love, legacy, and destiny to life.” Additionally, “a live orchestra [will] perform [composer] Bear McCreary’s score, curated by Matthew B. Roberts, against breathtaking scenes from the series.”
The first show date will be in Edinburgh, Scotland, on May 30. The tour will go through the United States and Europe before wrapping up in Oslo, Norway, on March 4, 2027.
