Fans of crime thrillers will be delighted to learn ITVX has dropped an “absolutely amazing” new six-episode series available to stream right now. That’s according to social media television critic Danni, who took to TikTok to share further details and highlight four more “bingeworthy” shows on the box.Eve Myles, left, and David Morrissey, right, star in a new six-part ITV series called Gone. The series was filmed and is set in Bristol, and tells the story of an upstanding private school headteacher Michael Polly (Morrissey) who slowly becomes a suspect in the disappearance of his wife, after the work of Detective Annie Cassidy (Myles). The character of Annie Cassidy is inspired by Avon and Somerset detective Julie MacKay, who in 2015 solved the 1984 murder of Melanie Road in Bath

“It stars Eve Myles, who in my opinion is absolutely outstanding,” she gushed in a video. Such is her love for the actress, Danni recommended four other shows that all star the actress too. First, however, she showcased Gone, which also stars David Morrissey and arrived on ITVX yesterday (March 9).

“It’s about a headteacher whose wife mysteriously goes missing and he comes under intense scrutiny – but did he do it?” Danni teased of the series. “It looks absolutely brilliant.”

The synopsis for the programme adds: “An upstanding member of the community, Michael Polly is inscrutable and likes order and precision in his working life.

“Until, that is, he encounters super bright, gutsy Detective Annie Cassidy, and a compulsive game of cat and mouse begins as she chips away at his veneer in search of the truth. Beneath the surface of the mystery, lies a deeper exploration of trauma, trust and the legacy of elite institutions.”

Danni went on to highlight four other series featuring Welsh star Eve, 47.

Keeping Faith

Released in 2017, Keeping Faith has three series and is available to watch on BBC iPlayer. Danni says: “It tells the story of Faith who is a lawyer, but her husband goes missing under very strange circumstances and did she have something to do with it?”

Danni promises it’s “one of the best shows” she has ever seen and she can’t recommend it enough. “Eve Myles is absolutely outstanding in it and it will keep you gripped from start to finish,” she said.

The Guest

Another BBC series starring the same actress is The Guest, which first aired in 2025. Just one season long, it is currently available to watch on iPlayer too. “When a cleaner takes a job in a wealthy woman’s home, their friendship becomes quite intense and it spirals into a sort of psychological game,” Danni said.

Coldwater

Also released last year and just one series in length, Coldwater is now on ITVX and, according to Danni, tells the story of an unhappy middle-aged man who moves to a very isolated village in Scotland.

“He befriends his very strange neighbour, but this turns out to be one of the worst decisions that he has ever made,” she added of the show.

We Hunt Together

Closing Danni’s “bingeworthy” recommendations is We Hunt Together, a two-series programme available on Now TV. “When two unfortunate strangers with troubled pasts meet after a strange incident, they decide to go on a killing spree leaving two detectives to investigate,” she said.

Admitting it’s a bit of a “strange one”, Danni confessed she “absolutely loved it” and was “hooked from start to finish”. She closed: “I definitely recommend it, especially if you are a fan of Eve Myles.”
