Prince Harry RECAP: Duke ‘frantically’ trying to get Meghan to UK as reunion on cards

Prince Harry will shortly arrive in Birmingham for day three of his highly anticipated UK return. He’s spent the first two days in the capital, conducting private meetings and promoting his Invictus Games. The Duke of Sussex has now travelled north and will visit a children’s hospital in Birmingham.

He is currently in the UK on his own, after it was decided at the last minute that it was unsafe for his wife Meghan Markle and two children to travel with him over security concerns. But he is understood to be working “frantically” to secure private security so his family can join him for the remaining leg of his trip.

It comes as the Mirror reports that the King has instructed senior aides to engage in talks with the Sussexes to find a suitable time to see his grandchildren – having not seen Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, since 2022. The publication reports that a meeting is “hopeful”. “While nothing has been ruled out, conversations remain ongoing.” Another insider said, “The King would not pass up the opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren, and if there is a way of making it possible, he will do it.”
