In what many viewers are calling Gia Fleur’s latest bid for public sympathy, the bride has dropped fresh bombshell accusations against her ex-partner Scott McCristal during last night’s After The Dinner Party.

Gia claimed that Scott repeatedly body-shamed her by calling her “fat” and only used her for sex throughout the experiment, while never giving her the emotional reassurance she needed.

She told the couch that Scott never told her she was beautiful, never called her sexy, and simply “used her body.”

When host Laura Byrne pressed her on why she didn’t raise these serious allegations during the show itself, Gia appeared flustered and replied: “Um… I didn’t want to.”

The hesitant answer immediately sparked backlash, with many accusing Gia of only bringing up the claims now to gain sympathy after a string of controversies (including the fake Jetstar flight, using her daughter for emotional manipulation, and the toilet stall plotting exposed by Bec).

Scott’s strong denial

Scott McCristal has vehemently denied all of Gia’s accusations in an interview with Woman’s Day:

“Obviously that’s another lie too. It’s just constant lying. Everything that comes out of her mouth is just bull***t. I don’t believe a single word she says.

I never called her fat. Never in my life. She would ask me every single day, ‘Can you tell me I’m hot? Can you tell me I’m sexy? Can you tell me I’m beautiful?’ And I always reassured her. I always told her she looked beautiful.”

Scott insists he consistently tried to meet Gia’s constant need for compliments, but it was never enough.

This is not the first time Gia has made similar claims. At the Final Dinner Party she also accused Scott of only using her for her body and never making her feel desired. The rest of the cast largely rolled their eyes at the time.

The fresh allegations have split fans down the middle:

Some believe Gia was genuinely hurt and lacked the confidence to speak up earlier.Others argue she is playing the victim card once again to repair her damaged public image after weeks of drama.

From the emotional alleyway breakdown and passionate Final Vows, to four-page breakup letters, fake flights, and now public body-shaming claims — the Scott and Gia saga continues to be one of the most chaotic and talked-about breakups in MAFS history.

MAFS fans, what’s your verdict?

Do you believe Gia’s body-shaming accusations or do you think she’s seeking sympathy? Was Scott’s constant reassurance enough, or did Gia need more emotional validation? Was Laura Byrne’s question “Why didn’t you say this at the time?” the toughest moment of the episode?
