Horror at Mount Buller: Man Di-es and Woman Is Injured After Tree Suddenly Crashes Onto Car at Popular Ski Resort
A passenger has died after a tree fell onto a car at a popular Australian ski resort.
Emergency services responded to reports of a collision on Mount Buller Rd, Victoria, at 9.15am on Monday.
It is understood the tree crashed through the windscreen as it was travelling along the road.
“The male passenger who is yet to be formally identified, sadly died at the scene,” police said.
Ambulance Victoria said advanced life support paramedics attended.
The female driver was taken to Wangaratta Hospital in a serious condition with an upper-body injury.
The incident happened during the alpine resort’s snow season, with wintry conditions and fog reported in the area.
Police are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident, with an investigation ongoing.
