CHILLING SEARCHES EXPOSED: Witness Claims Lindsay Clancy’s Online History Shows ‘Preparatory Planning’ to Stran-gle Her Children as Jury Decides Her Fate
A forensic psychiatrist in Lindsay Clancy‘s murder trial noted the nurse’s ‘preparatory planning’ to kill her children.
Dr Gregory Saathoff testified on Wednesday that he believed Clancy had ‘control’ at the time of the killings.
The psychiatrist told jurors that the Massachusetts mom had looked up the distance between the restaurant she sent her ex-husband Patrick to, then ‘added’ a CVS trip as another errand, giving her enough time to commit the heinous crime without witnesses.
He also noted that having the exercise bands used to kill the kids nearby and ‘readily available’ indicated planning.
The trial will entered its final day of evidence today after five weeks of grueling testimony, before a jury will decide her fate.
Clancy, 36, strangled her children Cora, five, Dawson, three, and Callan, eight months, to death at her Duxbury, Massachusetts in January 2023.
The former labor and delivery nurse is charged with first-degree murder, but defense lawyers call for the jury to consider involuntary manslaughter as well as second degree murder.
Clancy has admitted to killing her children but pleaded not guilty to murder by reason of insanity, citing postpartum psychosis, and is seeking to be committed to a state mental health facility rather than face a prison sentence.
