BIG BROTHER 28 SHO-CKER: Drew Campbell’s Hidden Reality TV Past REVEALED — His Famous Rockstar Dad Changes Everything!

There may be four known reality TV icons on Big Brother 28, but Houseguest Drew Campbell also has a reality show past. Plus, just like a few others in the house, he has a famous relative. Here’s everything you need to know about the Temecula, California native who’s currently fighting for his life in the game.

Drew quickly became part of the Toolshed alliance in the first week alongside Angela Murray, Dee Valladares, Rick Devens, Kamu Kirk, Haley Thogmartin, Chuk Anyanwu, and Barrett Pfeiffer. At the same time, he grew close to Melody Morris, who sits on the opposite side of the house. Right now, Drew is on the block. His alliance members have concluded they can’t trust him and are planning to vote him out. Whether he survives this week remains to be seen—but outside the game, his background is already turning heads.

Drew’s Reality TV Past

Before stepping into the Big Brother house, Drew appeared on Beast Games, the high-stakes Prime Video competition series created by James Donaldson (better known as MrBeast) alongside Tyler Conklin, Sean Klitzner, and Mack Hopkins. MrBeast hosts the show, in which contestants battle through intense games and obstacles for a $5 million prize.

According to IMDb, Drew competed as player 655 and was eliminated in Season 1, Episode 2. He went up against Season 26 Ainsley actress Cosette Rinab during his short run.

Drew also previously appeared on the game show America Says, hosted by John Michael Higgins. The series pits two teams of four against each other as they try to guess the top answers to fill-in-the-blank survey questions. Clips from the show, including celebratory posts from the Game Show Network, have circulated online, showing Drew’s earlier brush with competition television.

Drew’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Dad

Drew’s father is guitarist Buzz Campbell, a seasoned songwriter and performer with deep roots in rockabilly. Buzz has played with numerous acts, including original Stray Cats members Lee Rocker, Slim Jim Phantom, and Brian Setzer. He later became the lead guitarist for Sha Na Na and founded the group Hot Rod Lincoln.

On Instagram, Buzz has publicly encouraged followers to vote for Drew for the Time Capsule. In a heartfelt 2022 post, he wished his son a “Happy Sons Day,” writing: “Happy sons to one of my best pals ever. This kid makes me proud every day. He’s one of the coolest guys I know. Thank God I’m his dad, or he wouldn’t let me hang out with him… Much love to you, Drew. You bring me much joy.”

Drew’s Job and Schooling

Drew graduated from California State University San Marcos in May, posting graduation photos with the tongue-in-cheek caption “Professional B.S.-er,” a clear nod to earning his Bachelor of Science degree. He graduated summa cum laude, according to Parade.

His occupation upon entering the house was listed as Surgical Dental Assistant. Having only recently finished school, it appears he had just begun the role. In an interview with Parade, Drew highlighted his people skills as his biggest strength: “I would say my biggest strength is connecting with people. I mean, my job, I sit there with patients, and we just connect. And I feel like at the end of it, I just made a new friend.”

He Likes Snowboarding and Traveling

Away from Big Brother content, Drew’s Instagram is relatively low-key, but the posts he has shared reveal a love for snowboarding and travel. He has posted photos from trips to Italy, England, Canada, Turkey, and Texas. In February, he captioned a snowboarding shot simply “Fun time snowboarding!” An earlier 2023 photo shows him hitting the slopes as well.

Drew’s Relationship Status

Drew is single. He told Parade he remains open to a showmance, noting, “I feel like my mom would be happy if I came home with the girl, even if I didn’t come home with the win. So, am I gonna say no [to a showmance]? No. I’m gonna say maybe.”

Inside the house, he currently shares a flirtmance with Melody Morris, though nothing physical has developed so far.

As the votes loom and the Toolshed alliance prepares to turn on him, Drew Campbell’s pre-Big Brother résumé—complete with prior reality TV experience and a rockstar dad—adds an intriguing layer to his story. Whether that background helps him survive the block or simply makes for compelling television remains the question of the week.
