🚨 COUNTDOWN TO CHAOS: Lindsay Clancy’s Lawyer Wins a Last-Second “Hail Mary” — Just ONE HOUR Bought to Stop Mistrial After 38+ Hours of Jury Deadlock
LINDSAY Clancy’s lawyer won a Hail Mary bid granting him just one extra hour to argue against a mistrial seconds before the jury were brought into the room.
After another tense back and forth with defense attorney Kevin Reddington, Judge William Sullivan allowed him just 60 minutes to file for an emergency Supreme Judicial Court intervention, putting a mistrial on hold after the jury failed to reach a verdict in over 38 hours of deliberation.

Reddington had jumped in with seconds to spare before Sullivan brought the 12 jurors back to make the mistrial officials, citing an argument from the Karen Read murder trial to get a stay.
Gasps had rung out across the courtroom just before after Sullivan had confirmed his intention to end in a mistrial after six weeks.
Jurors had been deadlocked since Tuesday, and on Thursday Reddington claimed there was one juror who “refuses to listen to the law on reasonable doubt.”
Clancy has sought an insanity defense in her case after she strangled her three young children to death in January 2023.
Clancy appeared sad, looking straight ahead and refusing to meet her attorney’s eyes after Sullivan announced he would likely be declaring a mistrial.
Reddington argued to the jurors that Clancy was suffering from undiagnosed postpartum psychosis when she strangled her children, Cora, Dawson and Callan, on January 24, 2023.
The prosecution argued Clancy acted deliberately, knew right from wrong at the time of the killings and showed evidence of planning by sending her then-husband out of the house to run errands.
Jurors began deliberating on August 27, and told the judge on Tuesday and Wednesday that they had yet to reach a unanimous decision despite hours of deliberations.
The verdict ticket had five options for Clancy’s fate, where if she is found guilty, she could be convicted of first-degree murder, second-degree murder or manslaughter.
Jurors also had the option to acquit the 36-year-old if they felt the prosecution had not proved their case – that she acted deliberately – beyond a reasonable doubt.
The nine women and three men also could have found Clancy not guilty by reason of lack of criminal responsibility, which could have her committed to a psychiatric facility in Massachusetts, where a judge would have to approve her release.
