In the next few days, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is scheduled to move into Marsh Farm on the Sandringham estate, with the preparations for the disgraced royal’s move nearly complete.

The former Duke of York has been spotted driving on the Sandringham estate ahead of this move, with Andrew seen wearing a maroon cable-knit jumper, and he was accompanied by his security officer as he drove.

Since his eviction from Royal Lodge, where he had resided since 2004, Andrew has been living at Wood Farm, which is also on the Sandringham estate.

Last month, moving men were spotted moving Andrew’s possessions, including paintings and books into his new abode. The boxes revealed that the 66-year-old was continuing to use his HRH title, despite these having been stripped from him back in November.

Andrew’s imminent move

During an appearance on A Right Royal Podcast, The Sun’s royal editor, Matt Wilkinson, explained why Andrew’s move to Marsh Farm was expected to happen around the Easter break.

Matt shared: “He’s living in Wood Farm at the moment, which is temporary accommodation, and the royal family use Wood Farm a lot, and the Easter holidays are coming up, so there may be wider and extended members of the family who want to pop up for a holiday at Sandringham and use Wood Farm, so Andrew needs to get into Marsh Farm pretty sharpish.

“They’ve put the big security gates up, they’ve been working around the clock for the last few weeks, the furniture has gone in, we’ve had a fridge, a big wardrobe, we’ve had carpets go in. The kitchen has been completely done.”

He added: “We were told to expect Andrew to be into his final exile by Easter, the first weekend in April. But I have a sneaking suspicion he could be in before that, because they want Wood Farm back.“

Moving in

Andrew was forced to depart Royal Lodge when his royal titles and honours were removed from him by King Charles last year. He has recently been residing at Wood Farm as renovations on his new home were undertaken.

Photos seen last month revealed that these renovations were nearly complete with a Sky workman seen drilling from the exterior of the building, wearing a helmet, face mask and earmuffs. Workmen were also spotted fixing grey blinds in the kitchen, and an equestrian fencing van was also seen as the stables take shape out the back of the farmhouse.

The property was previously an unoccupied residence on the King’s private Sandringham Estate. In recent months, workmen have installed a six-foot fence around the perimeter, along with CCTV cameras to secure the property and protect Andrew’s privacy.
