MAFS star Domenica Calarco has opened up about health issues she has been facing since falling pregnant with her daughter, Dove.

“I’ve had a holter monitor for 24 [hours] to figure out my heart palpitations due to my thyroid issues yet again,” the 33-year-old shared with her 479,000 Instagram followers.

“Pregnancy triggered so many issues for my body and every day feels like a struggle atm.

“Trying to show up as the best mum I can be all while feeling so depleted has been affecting my mental health a lot these last few weeks.”

Dom has been open about both her physical and mental health in recent years, including two hospitalisations during her pregnancy with Dove, who was born in August 2025.

Her latest story comes just a day after she was praised for sharing a very realistic day in the life look at life as a single mother.

In the video, Dom shared her simple routine of having a cup of coffee and watching Today before daughter Dove wakes up.

She then showed the “un-aesthetic” way she used her lounge space to make life easier for herself when parenting, and later realised a pile of rubbish was in the background as she sang to Dove.

“Domenica relax, it’s fine that there’s rubbish in the background, chill,” she joked to herself.

The raw behind-the-scenes look drew plenty of praise from Dom’s followers.

“Thank you for keeping it real! Mums need to see this so they feel less alone and know that this state of living is perfectly normal, if not expected,” one said.

“As a mum of a four-month-old, I am seeing me in this in so many ways, you got this,” said another.

“So many other parents will appreciate the honesty and raw content you share. Hats off to you mama, you’re doing amazing and should be so proud,” a third wrote.

Dom has built a reputation for keeping it real with fans, including with both her physical and mental health.

At the earlier stages of her pregnancy, she revealed she was hospitalised twice after falling pregnant due to “serious” thyroiditis.

She said the health struggles also explained her sudden weight loss at the time.

According to the Royal Children’s Hospital, thyroiditis is inflammation or swelling of the thyroid gland.

Dom first shared her pregnancy news in March 2025, confirming she would be “co-parenting” with the baby’s father, her ex Jarod Bogunovich.
