Netflix releases a new trailer for Stranger Things 5! This is what it reveals

Attention, nerds! Stranger Things 5, Volume 2 premieres today, so start popping the popcorn and pulling out your retro looks, because the return to Hawkins for the final battle is closer than ever. Here’s what time the new episodes will be available on Netflix, so you can enjoy them with your whole family.

Who will die in Stranger Things 5 volume 2?

After Netflix revealed the official trailer for volume 2 a few days ago, everything points to the next victim being Dustin or Steve (yes, we know, it’s painful). In the video, both make a promise to each other: “If you die, I die.” The line feels more like a farewell, which suggests that one of them (or both) could meet a tragic end.

Other theories point to Jonathan Byers. Some believe Jonathan could die protecting Will or Nancy. Will and Eleven are also frequently mentioned, but since they are the main characters, if their deaths were to happen, it would most likely be in the final episode.

What happens in Stranger Things 5 Volume 1?

The trigger for the season is the disappearance of Holly Wheeler, a case that leads Nancy to ask Eleven for help in understanding what is really happening in her house. When they arrive, both are faced with a devastating scene: the Wheelers are injured and the portal remains open. Eleven crosses into the Upside Down to prevent Holly from becoming another victim and reunites with Hopper, who is also injured after an ambush.

Meanwhile, Will continues to experience increasingly intense visions. Although Joyce fears that her son may once again be trapped by the forces of the Upside Down, Robin discovers a way to track signals that only he can perceive. Together with Will, she discovers that Holly was not talking to an imaginary friend, but to a projection of Vecna disguised as Henry (his human form). The boy’s connection to the villain explains why he can perceive what the creatures feel and predict their movements.

The trail of the demogorgon that kidnapped Holly leads Eleven and Hopper to a wall that seems impossible to cross. Before they can get through it, a military group bursts in with a sonic weapon that neutralizes Eleven’s powers. Hopper destroys the device and enters the mind of a soldier, discovering that Dr. Kay is leading the operation from a base located in the shadow dimension.

Meanwhile, Holly is trapped in a fantasy created by Vecna. There, she fully trusts Henry until she receives a message that pushes her to disobey him and reunite with Max. The young survivor reveals that she tried to escape through a hidden memory in a rocky area, a weak point that Henry seems to fear. Max asks her to keep the meeting secret so as not to endanger her own plan.

Outside, the group led by Erica, Robin, and Joyce tries to prevent Derek, the next child on Vecna’s list, from being taken. They manage to injure a demogorgon and place a tracker on it, but Will has another vision that confirms there are more children trapped and that the villain intends to gather twelve.

The situation worsens when the military also begins searching for the children. Joyce plans to escape with Murray’s help, but some members of the group are captured. Amid the chaos, Vecna crosses the portal and reveals to Will that he needs the children because “they are easy to break”; however, his words awaken something new in the boy, who uses his new powers to stop the demogorgons and prove that he is no longer the victim he once was. With the return of Eight and the secrets Max reveals, the final battle begins to take shape.
