Another added: “Love this energy! Happy Xmas to you and yours Trisha! X” Trisha is living with secondary breast cancer, also known as metastatic or stage four breast cancer, which she was diagnosed with in 2023 after first battling the disease in 2008.

She has also spoken about managing Raynaud’s syndrome, a condition that restricts blood flow to the fingers and toes and can cause numbness, pain and colour changes in the skin.

Raynaud’s can develop as a side effect of certain cancer treatments, including chemotherapy, which Trisha is still going through. In her birthday post, Trisha went on to explain how frightened the language used to talk about cancer can make you feel when you are first diagnosed.

She shared: “When you first hear those words, ‘Your cancer has come back’ and every time you look at the news, your eye seems to be drawn to the words CANCER and TERMINAL, you think that’s it.”

However, she added: “But scientists and the Medical world have re-classified metastatic cancer to being a LIFE LIMITING illness, for good reason.”

Trisha also used the moment to thank those who have supported her throughout her health battles. She paid tribute to her family, including her “darling husband and kids,” before praising her “fantastic Oncology team and nurses” and her close friends “who haven’t ghosted me.”

She added that messages from the public have meant a great deal, telling followers: “Your kind words, laughter and encouragement means I celebrate you all!”

During her April appearance on Celebrity Big Brother, Trisha spoke frankly about the realities of her treatment, including the severe side effects of a drug that has helped stabilise her condition.

She revealed: “My cancer count has come down and down and down, this drug is working,” but added that it is “one of the most vicious drugs to take”.

Among the side effects, she listed constipation, muscle aches, and changes to her taste and eyesight, before acknowledging: “But if I hadn’t have had it, I wouldn’t be here, so it’s last call at the rodeo drug.”

In recent months, Trisha has also shared updates about living with Raynaud’s syndrome, explaining that chemotherapy has made the condition worse but she has adapted by wearing gloves when driving and using napkins to help her hold cold drinks.
