Over the years, plenty of actresses have tried their hand at portraying Meghan Markle – but one has succeeded like no other.

When Prince Harry married Meghan Markle, everyone thought it would be a love story for the ages. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had it all, until they ditched the Royal Family for a life in the States, cut off from King Charles and Prince William. Numerous films have been made on their lives, however – some depicting an epic romance, others telling the story of how they “escaped” the royals.
It appears, however, that one actress has been more successful at winning the love of the people than Meghan herself. In 2018 Lifetime series Harry and Meghan: A Royal Romance, Meghan was portrayed by Parisa Fitz-Henley, while Murray Fraser starred as Prince Harry. It told the story of Harry growing up after his mother Princess Diana’s funeral, while Meghan was growing up a continent away, grappling with her biracial heritage.

The film then charts their love story from blind date to royal wedding.
It’s rated a fairly impressive 5.1 out of 10 stars on IMDb – significant because Meghan’s own Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, only has a rating of 3.3 stars.
The couple’s Netflix documentary Harry and Meghan also has a rating of 5.1 stars.

The film has better reviews than With Love, Meghan (Image: Lifetime)
One reviewer said of the Lifetime movie: “I enjoyed this. Better than a lot of Lifetime movies. The casting of the actors they found to portray Harry and Meghan are really spot on which helps with the fantasy here.”
Another echoed: “This film was much better than I thought it would be, it’s really good for a TV movie. The actors who play Meghan & Catherine look scarily like the real thing, all the actors do a good job at portraying their part.”
Somebody else wrote: “This movie turned out to be surprisingly entertaining. The cast is good with a striking physical resemblance of Parisa to Meghan. She also acts very well, better than required for this kind of movie and creates a lot of sympathy for her obstacles and the very unique position she is in.”
