Following a massive, week-long search operation, authorities have confirmed the discovery of Isaiah Williams, the 18-year-old who had been missing from East Hartford since early June.

According to the East Hartford Police Department, Williams’ body was located in the town of Glastonbury on Sunday, June 7. His family had filed a missing persons report on June 2, immediately following the last confirmed sighting of him near the Trestle Railroad Bridge on Cedar Street on June 1.
To locate the young man, local authorities coordinated with over 100 community volunteers, conducting continuous sweeps of the surrounding areas over the past several days.
While the investigation into the exact cause of death remains ongoing, East Hartford police stated on Monday that preliminary findings indicate he likely drowned.
Authorities are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident to reach a final conclusion for the family and the community.
