TWO adults and two children, including a six-day-old baby, were found dead on Wednesday night in an apparent murder-suicide.

A large police presence swarmed the scene in the North Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles after a 911 call came in just before 8pm.

Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Devonshire Division found four people dead inside the North Hills home with gunshot wounds upon arrival, officials confirmed to The U.S. Sun.

Three of the victims were identified on Thursday as two-year-old Alec Basmajian, 31-year-old Khajag Basmajian and Ella Basmajian, who was only six-days-old, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The name of a woman in her 30s was not released pending notification of her family.

Preliminary evidence in the investigation indicated that the woman killed her two children and their father before taking her own life, KNBC reported.

Initial reports said a man and woman between the ages of 35 and 40 were found in the home alongside a four-month-old baby and a child between the ages of five and seven.

Police confirmed they are investigating the case as a murder-suicide and are not searching for suspects.

A large law enforcement presence surrounded the taped-off scene, including police officers, first responders and firefighters, with officials still on scene early on Thursday morning, according to KABC.

Members of the Los Angeles Mayor’s Crisis Response Team, who work to support and provide resources to survivors of a crisis, also responded to the home.

Aerial footage from KNBC showed several police cruisers, fire trucks and ambulances lining the street with flashing lights as yellow caution tape was strung between trees.

A man who described himself as a cousin of the victims was seen walking past the yellow tape and escorted by police to the home.

The same man was later seen consoling a crying woman.

Information about the details leading up to the shooting were not immediately released.

“It’s just shocking to be in our neighborhood, something that drastic and devastating in the neighborhood. It’s sad. Four people lost their lives today,” Undreal Turner, a resident of North Hills told KABC.

“We really need to hone in on our moms, and even dads, just to make sure, in the neighborhood, people that you know, that they’re OK. Do they need any help? Do they need any assistance? Do they need any support?”

Neighbors told local outlet KTLA5 that they were shocked to hear of the shooting, adding that they never noticed any signs of domestic violence or issues at the single-story home.

“This whole community is a family, so when I heard [about the shooting] that just broke my heart,” a neighbor told KNBC.

The LAPD did not immediately respond to The U.S. Sun’s request for comment.
